To Mr Lau, be honest 收藏幣是一條不歸路，你還是跟大圍買silver buillion coin, 如果你只是買一個silver coin for collection, then any one is ok! For investment purpose , then the one I suggest is the buillion gold coin with hand signed cert!

回覆刪除For this NZ coin, it already sold out at the NZ post office. However, u can contact SPC, and see whether they can help u to find one at the overseas coin dealer. As I know some coin dealer still have stock. By the way... this coin's design is very good, I am waiting it to come. Once received, will post the PIC to blog.

May I ask why did you buy the coin of Queens Diamond Jubilee Brilliant Uncirculated Sovereign. It's just 22 carat gold. not gold coin.

回覆刪除22 carat gold coin is also one type of gold coin. It has gold inside.
If you want to purchase fine gold coin for Queen's diamond Jubliee, the only option is 5OZ one, the cost is UKP 9500. (big investment)
Even the 1Oz gold proof Queen's Diamond Jubliee is 22 Carat gold.
The reason I purchase the Brillian Uncirculated Sovereign coin is that the normal price for that coin is UKP 379. I paid UKP 71 extra, I get a piece of the Queen's Diamond Jubliee, the coin struck on 2 June 2012, and a hand signed cert, plus a nice display box and low mintage. Of course, the investment amount is acceptable.
The reason I don't recommend other countries' coin is that ... the Queen is the British one, even the other Commonwealth countries' coins, it is not the same.

If you purchase each coin from varies mints directly, the purchase prices are :
Royal Mint - UKP 82.5
RCM - CAD 84.95
RAM - AUD 80
Of course u need to add back the mail cost and exchange rate factor. The total costs are around UKP 215, now you only need to pay UKP 309 (299 + 10*) , that means... pay extra UKP 94we receive a nice display box and lots of convenience. [* mail cost for UK mint]
For conveneicne - It is a good buy for a piece of Queen's Diamon Jubilee.
However, from the investment point of view ... not that good.
The mintage number for varies coints are not that good.
UK one - mintage 75000
CAD one - mintage 15000
AUD one - mintage 10000
For a new silver coin collector. The Queen's Diamon Jubilee 2012 Royal Silver 3 coin set is not a bad choice for you.

回覆刪除1) The Mintage number for 5 oz silver coin is 1952 (very low). Also the sivler content is the highest grade .999 fine silver (usually, RM is 0.925).
2) Keep using your account, becoz u have been selected by the RM to receive discount. U can purchase all the silver coins at the rate of 0.8333 (Same as me). Of course, there are some limitations. You will know more when u purchase more coins from RM.

Don't purchase it at the high premium (within HKD 1000 is a good deal, below HKD 1200 is reasonable), however, I think it is a good investment in long run subject to the popularity of the HR coin in the future time. However.... we still need to look at the upcoming HR snake coin.

From my bottom of my heart. I don't think I can gain lots of $ for that. However, I belive .... it will generate a big fortune for my kids, if I select the right one for them.
